Fabulous 9 men-strong ballet-ensemble from St.Petersburg, Russia.
Artistic leader Valery Michailovsky (solodancer with Boris Eifman) and his men (educated at the Kirov Ballet) perform on stage with staggering technical perfection: spits size 46/47! The program consists of two totally different parts: before the interval the modern ballet ‘Tango for Russians’, showing all facets of the tango (from classical to salacious). After the interval the dreamworld of ‘Oh, those Chef d’oeuvres! -in jest and earnest, ‘highlights’ from the classical worldballets: Don Quichotte, Raymonde, La Sylphide and of course ‘the Swan’. It’s all about elaborate dance for the St.Petersburg Male Ballet but subtile humor is not neglected.
