You will get an impression of the rich history and a glimpse of the modern China. Acrobats, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, modern ethnic dances, ballet, modern dance, percussion and pop music played on traditional instruments. Everything is passing by in high speed.
In the 1st part you will see 3 scenes of Chinas Qin, Tang and Quin dynasty. The warriors of the Terracotta army will come alive on stage fighting with the ancient members of wild tribes. We see the court of the Chinese emperors and empresses with soldiers and beautiful ladies. The dance of the 1000 hands ( Donghuang ) from the age of the Silk Road, shows you the influence of the Buddhism in art. From the same century - Tang Dynasty - you will see the peacock dance .
We take a look in the harem of the imperial palace and see the dance of the lovesick poet Li Bai, with on the backdrop visuals of calligraphy. In the final of the first part we celebrate the birthday of empress Xe xe with Peking Opera dancers and a very special dragon.
In the 2nd part, after the interval you will enter the modern China. In a short video we see images of the country combined with the dynamic rhythms of our drum-girls. The girls band on traditional instruments will be followed by ethnic dances in a modern choreography, modern Tai Chi and Marshall Arts on Chinese hip hop music. The show finishes, of course, with a choreography pointing in the direction of the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.
Besides the top artists, we are using the most modern light - and projection techniques, eye-dazzling costumes, fantastic music and carefully designed sceneries.
China Impressions is unique because of the concept, the quality and the variety.
